IES Falun is a three parallel 4-9 school, now going into its sixth year, with 500 students in 18 classes, and 56 staff from various parts of the world. The balance between Swedish-speaking and English-speaking is ideal for our bilingual school: 30 Swedish-speaking and 26 English-speaking staff, and the percentage of qualified teachers is 88.

Before coming to IES Södertälje, I have held many administration positions in a number of different schools over the years and I have been working with education both in Sweden and abroad. Our doors opened in August of 2017 to a beautifully renovated school, filled with teachers at the top of their fields eager to teach students from in and around Södertälje.

Welcome to my school! Well, that's mostly true - deep down this is Barbara Bergström's school - "the one who started it all" back in 1993. I have been lucky to work with Mrs Bergström in one capacity or another since I first joined IES as a science teacher back in 2003.

Dear all, My name is Jonas Hård and as of March 2, I will be the principal of Internationella Engelska Skolan Upplands Väsby, which opens in August 2020. I’m truly proud to become part of the IES-team and look forward to opening a new bilingual quality school in Upplands Väsby.

I am originally from Greece, where I graduated as a special education teacher, with a focus on ADHD and ASD. Soon after receiving my diploma, I moved to Stockholm and joined the IES family, helping as part of the founding team to open IES Tyresö as the school’s specialpedagog in 2014. My name is Sara Viljosson and I am principal of IES Järfälla, I am passionate about teaching, learning and making sure every child reaches their full potential. As principal it is my responsibility to make sure every lesson meets our high standards and assure a calm learning environment for all students. Whilst I have worked mainly as an Assistant Principal, I also enjoyed the opportunity to be Acting Principal at IES Årsta during the academic year 2019 - 2020. As an experienced IES educator, I am confident that setting high expectations for students and having high standards for staff is the basis upon which to build opportunities for success at all levels.
